Laura Ann Carlson Melillo, 59, a native of Danbury, died Tuesday March 11, 1997, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital,Torrington,Ct. Mrs. Melillo made her home with her son, Peter Melillo, at 70 Eno Ave.,Torrington. She was born in Danbury on October 20,1937, a daughter of Raymond and Laura Whitlock Carlson. She attended Danbury public schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the class of 1955. A resident of Torrington since 1972 she had been employed as a school bus driver for many years. Besides her son in Torrington, Mrs. Melillo is survived by another son,Dominic V. Melillo Jr.of Watertown; two daughters Christine Melillo of Torrington,and Laura P Melillo of Tennessee; a brother, John Carlson of Danbury; two grandsons;two nephews and a niece. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Tomlinson Homestead,336 Main St.,Danbury. Service will be Friday at 10 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Joseph's Church,Danbury.
