Dingee, 83 of Goshen, CT passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at
Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. James was born in
Danbury, CT, a son of the late Willard and Edith Dingee. He graduated
from Danbury High School in 1955.
James enjoyed family, travel, and was an enthusiast of sports. He spent many years coaching the Danbury Vikings Pop Warner football team, and also enjoyed announcing on the radio for the Danbury Hatters High School football games.
He spent much of his career as a computer programmer for General Electric, from which he retired.
James is survived by his wife Nancy (Andrews) Dingee, whom he married in May of 1958; a daughter, Pamela Trompetter and her husband, Paul, of Warren; a granddaughter, Marni Smith, and her husband, Trevor, of Litchfield, and two great-grandchildren: Connor and Sadie Smith. He is also survived by a brother, Thomas Dingee, and his wife, Jeanne, of New Milford, as well as three nephews.
A private burial will be held at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, CT
